Embury is looking for one contract Call Centre Team Leader (DURBAN MUSGRAVE CAMPUS)

(This position is on a fixed term contract ending 31 December 2019)

To generate foot traffic on all Embury campuses through concentrated call-out campaigns, following a script to ensure maximum enrolments and applications.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Assist students with the admission and registration process to ensure appropriate guidance is provided regarding programme and qualification requirements and financial obligations.
  • Provide prospective students with the highest level of customer service through effective phone and email communication.
  • Meet activity and registration targets.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of Embury’s ethos, organisational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that you are fully aware of the functionality of the various systems and tools as required in the recruitment team.
  • Ensure that you fully understand the details of the Embury portfolio of educational programmes.
  • Ensure that all interested students are contacted for marketing purposes and that follow ups are maintained.
  • Keep all call centre records updated.
  • Memorise and utilise a script and product knowledge.
  • Setting targets for both individuals and teams.
  • Measuring the performance of both individuals and teams.
  • Offering Advisors guidance and feedback.
  • Helping to optimise procedures.
  • Finding ways to motivate call centre agents.
  • Ensuring call centre agents adhere to company policy, e.g. attendance.
  • Updating, and preparing performance reports for, the Head.

Job requirements:

  • Higher education experience (advantageous).
  • Previous experience in a similar position.
  • Sales experience.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.

Embury is looking for a Digital Media Coordinator for the Durban Head Office Team.

Key Role and Objective

We are looking for a driven Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual
communities and networks users. The strategic goal is for the Social Media Coordinator to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap. This is a specialist role and this individual must have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. The Social Media Coordinator must be responsive and agile with a strong customer service focus. This individual will be responsible for SEO and AdWords buying and should therefore be possessed of a proven track record in this area.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Creating high-quality original written and visual content for a social media campaign.
  • Expand the social media presence for the institution.
  • Coaching employees company-wide on content creation and social media best practices.
  • Running company social media advertising campaigns, geotargeting and spend.
  • Overseeing customer service provided via social media.

  • Work with the digital agency to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.

Lecturer ECD Studies and FP Specialist

The following Academic position is available at EMBURY DURBAN MUSGRAVE CAMPUS

Lecturer: Early Childhood Education Studies and Foundation Phase Specialist reporting directly to the Head of Academics: Musgrave Campus

Key Role and Objective:

    • Perform academic and academic administrative functions under the leadership of the Head of
      Department: ECD Studies and the Head of Department: Foundation Phase Studies.
    • Plan and implement principled teaching and learning and assessment practices, and student support in
      different disciplines and modules across different programmes.
    • Purposefully facilitate and mediate teaching and learning for both contact and distance learning students.
    • Research and contribute actively to the knowledge project at Embury.
    • Engage actively in community projects in the ECE Studies and the Head of Department: Foundation Phase
      Studies department.
    • Be a collaborative team member.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The position will be made up as follows:

    • Distance learning tutoring in ECD studies and Foundation Phase (FP).
    • Contact and/or distance learning tutoring in Literacy, Mathematics and life skills.
    • Curriculum development in ECD studies and/or Grade R Teaching.
    • Research in ECD studies and/or Grade R Teaching.
    • Other Embury-related academics responsibilities qualified to perform.
    • Knowledge and experience of developmentally appropriate practice.
